Parent Engagement

Supporting, Connecting, and Partnering with Families Every Step of the Way.

At Fairhill, we believe strong partnerships with families are essential to student success. Through educational programs, meaningful volunteer opportunities, and community events, parents are an active part of the journey.

Parent Engagement

Parent University (Education & Support)

Parent University offers practical tools, resources, and strategies to support families raising children with learning differences. Through engaging coffee sessions and lunch-and-learns, parents gain insights into executive function, technology, social-emotional development, and long-term planning—strengthening our community and supporting every child’s success.

Parent Engagement

Parent Council / Volunteer Opportunities

All volunteer efforts are coordinated through the Parent Council, which works to build a strong and engaged parent community. The Council supports teacher appreciation, strengthens communication between families and the school, and helps create an environment where students can thrive. Operating under the authority of the Fairhill School Board of Directors, the Parent Council is led by a team of officers, including the President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Parliamentarian and a Fairhill Liaison.

Parent involvement at Fairhill is supported through a variety of meaningful opportunities, including participation in the Parent Council, committees, and Grade Level Coordinators, all of which enhance community engagement. Families can also contribute by supporting library initiatives and fundraising events such as the Gala and Golf Classic, as well as other school activities. In addition, parents may serve in academic support roles, such as exam readers, providing valuable assistance to students who benefit from having questions and answer choices read aloud.

Parent Engagement

Parent Community & Connection

Fairhill offers a variety of welcoming events designed to help new families feel connected and informed from the start. Falcons’ First Flight provides an opportunity to meet teachers, review pick-up procedures, and attend division meetings for Elementary, Middle, and High School. The Back-to-School Welcome on the first day allows families to learn about the year ahead and meet others, while Curriculum Night (parents only) offers a deeper look into daily schedules and class expectations. Additional events such as the Volunteer Kickoff Breakfast introduce ways to get involved, and social gatherings—including the Parent Social, Grade-Level Mixers, and the Family Picnic during Earth Week—create meaningful opportunities for families to build relationships and become part of the Fairhill community.

Stay connected and help share the Fairhill story through our social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. We encourage families to post and celebrate their experiences—whether it’s student achievements, school events, or everyday moments—and to tag Fairhill and use #fairhillschool to help us reach and inspire more families. For a more personal connection, The Falcon’s Nest Facebook Group offers a supportive space for current and new families to share resources, ask questions, promote activities, and build community while supporting our students’ academic, social, and emotional growth.
