Lake Highlands is one of the most established neighborhoods in northeast Dallas, with strong community schools and involved parents. But for students with dyslexia, ADHD, dysgraphia, or other learning differences, the traditional classroom model in Richardson ISD can leave bright kids feeling frustrated and invisible.
Fairhill School is located at 16150 Preston Road, Dallas, TX 75248, about 15 minutes west of Lake Highlands. We are a college preparatory private school serving students with learning differences in grades 1 through 12.
Specialized for Learning Differences
Richardson ISD serves Lake Highlands well for most students. But for a child with dyslexia or ADHD, even a good school district can feel like the wrong environment. Class sizes are large, instruction follows standard methods, and accommodations address symptoms rather than root causes.
Fairhill was built differently. Every student has a learning difference. Every teacher specializes in how to teach them. A 7:1 student-to-teacher ratio means your child gets direct, individualized attention in every class period. Faculty average 12-15 years of tenure with 70% holding advanced degrees in learning differences.
Every classroom, every day. Teachers know your child by name and catch struggles before they become failures.
Our graduates arrive at college knowing how they learn, what they need, and how to advocate for themselves.
Since 1971. 70% of faculty hold advanced degrees with 12-15 years average tenure teaching students with learning differences.
What Changes
Lake Highlands parents tell us their child came alive at Fairhill. After years of feeling different or falling behind, students discover a community where everyone learns differently and no one has to explain or apologize for it.
Multisensory instruction engages how your child actually processes information. Executive function coaching builds the organizational and self-management skills that are essential for college. And our 100% college acceptance rate proves that students with learning differences can achieve at the highest levels when given the right environment.
Fairhill is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools with credits fully transferable.
