Canyon Creek sits within Richardson ISD, a district known for strong academics and competitive programs. For students with learning differences, that competitive environment can create a painful gap between what they know they are capable of and what the classroom allows them to show.
Fairhill School is 10-15 minutes from Canyon Creek at 16150 Preston Road, Dallas, TX 75248. Every student at Fairhill has a learning difference. Every teacher specializes in teaching students who learn differently.
Beyond Richardson ISD
Richardson ISD provides dyslexia screening, 504 plans, and special education services as required by Texas law. For some students, these supports are enough. For others, especially those whose intelligence exceeds what their classroom performance reflects, the accommodations address symptoms without changing the underlying experience.
Students who are smart enough to partially compensate for their learning difference often fall through the cracks. They do not qualify for intensive services because they are not failing. But they are not thriving either. They spend their energy keeping up instead of actually learning. Fairhill was built for these students.
Every classroom, every day. Teachers know your child by name and catch struggles before they become failures.
Our graduates arrive at college knowing how they learn, what they need, and how to advocate for themselves.
Since 1971. 70% of faculty hold advanced degrees with 12-15 years average tenure teaching students with learning differences.
What Changes
At Fairhill, instruction is designed for how your child learns. Multisensory, structured, and individualized within a college preparatory framework. A 7:1 student-to-teacher ratio means teachers identify and address struggles in real time, not after a grading period of declining scores.
Canyon Creek families sometimes describe their child as twice exceptional: gifted in some areas, struggling in others because of a learning difference. Fairhill’s whole-child approach develops the full range of abilities. We push academic rigor in areas of strength while building skills and confidence in areas of challenge.
Faculty average 12-15 years of tenure with 70% holding advanced degrees. Our graduates leave with a 100% college acceptance rate and the self-knowledge to succeed independently.
